Pace Models' aim is to bring you the highest quality diecast model racing cars and motorbikes from the world's best makers.

We have a strong belief that an online store should be as easy to use as possible and also that you, the user, should be able to see as much detail as possible of the products that we sell. That is why we try to use photographs of the highest possible quality with some models shown in up to four detailed and sharp photographs. If we cannot obtain high quality images then we take the photographs in-house.

The Pace Models logo

Our logo is based on the motion of fast moving car wheels. You may ask yourself why moving wheels are always represented as a slanted oval shape and the answer is that it all stems from the early days of photography.

The photograph on the right illustrates this phenomenon. The camera used would have had a focal plane shutter which was a slit that moved up across the film plane to expose the film. As the slit was moving up so the car was moving forward resulting in the elliptical effect. If you click on the image on the right you can see a larger version.
